The Schwartz's vs Charlie's 9 Months Old

I tried doing a cell phone shot to see if it would shorten the turn around time to get it up on the blog.  It did, but it's also a fuzzy picture so next month I'll go back to the real camera.

Today's Stats:

Weight: 17 lbs 11 oz (10th percentile)
Height: 28 1/2 inches (50th percentile)
Length: 17 1/4 inches (25th percentile)

You are 9 months old today!  Yay!  As you see from your stats, we are officially on the naughty list.  You went from the 50th percentile at your 4 month check up, to the 25th percentile at your 6 month check up, and now you are riding that 10th percentile line.  This means we got the parting gift of a big ol' bag of formula samples from Dr. Catherine.  Now, in all fairness, she's not saying we have to switch or that supplementing is mandatory.  It's just an extra precaution.

So, what have you been up to?

* You have 6 teeth.  6 razor sharp pointy teeth, 4 top, 2 bottom.
* You are a biter.  And you use your teeth to climb.  So, for example, you'll come up to me and put your teeth on my knee and then help yourself stand up.  Pretty annoying.
* You are no longer homeless.  As difficult as this was for me, when we got home from Cincinnati, we moved your pack and play into Sarah's room.  You have now been napping and sleeping the night in there.
* We hope to get you into a real crib by your first birthday.
* You have found your voice and babble more.  Mostly around food time.  You are most vocal in your high chair because you want us to stuff food in your face.
* We think your babbling mostly sounds like 2 words, "Hey!" and "Mama".
* You are warming up to purees.  Still can't stand vegetables but you eat all the fruits.
* You are very interested in what we are eating so we give you tiny bites of our dinner for you to poke around and try to eat.
* Your favorite food is whatever tiny something you shouldn't put in your mouth you can find on the floor.  I am constantly pulling stuff out of your mouth and feel like I need vacuum every hour and it still wouldn't help.
* Your favorite toys are plastic balls.  You like to chew on them.
* Your other favorite toy is whatever Sarah or Cody have.
* You love music.
* You love to crawl.  (into the bathroom...gross)
* You have been experimenting with free standing but are not cruising yet.

You are an easy going little guy.  You are happy probably 90% of the time and really only get mad when you get put down or are left behind.  It's funny cause sometimes while I'm in the kitchen cooking and you are in the room playing with Sarah and Cody one of them will have to go potty and will remind the other not to leave the room while they are gone otherwise you'll cry.  You have a huge smile and a great laugh.

We're glad you're a part of our family!
