The Schwartz's vs What I Imagined

Last Tuesday when Chris got home the house looked like it had been stirred with a stick.  Pandora Radio had the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" channel playing loudly on my laptop (if you have toddlers, check it out, it's a good one).  Cody and I were stirring dinner in between busting out some dance moves and Sarah was running around at full speed while screaming and giggling at the top of her lungs.  Chris just laughed and asked, "Is this what you imagined when you pictured our family?"

I didn't hesitate for one second; I simply replied, "Yes!  Didn't you?"

Our life isn't perfect.  Most days are really hard and there are plenty of times that I struggle with envying what others have.  But at the end of the day I know that my children are happy, healthy, and KNOW without a doubt that they are loved by their parents.  And that is exactly what I imagined when I pictured our family.

“Children need sunlight...They need kindness and refreshment and affection. Every home, regardless of the cost of the house, can provide an environment of love which will be an environment of salvation.”
